A Dream Come True

I have dreamed of being an author for almost twenty years, ever since I put poetry aside and started to write stories. I started with fanfiction, moved into short scenes and wrote my first novel when I was still in high school, and it reads as though it was written by someone still in high school! It took another decade before I started Summer Hideaway, a few more years before it was finished and accepted for publication, and then my dream came true on Friday when it was officially released, and that moment was when being an author became a reality for me. I was on cloud nine, loving life and feeling as though things couldn't get any better, and then I learned two things that would make the day even more incredible. My second novel, Lianna's Lessons, has been accepted by Ellora's Cave and will be published later this year, and I also learned that one of my short stories, The Initiation, will be included in an anthology titled First Submission, to be released later this month by Black Velvet Seductions. If that's not amazing enough, a second short story of mine, A Valentine's Surprise, will be in the same anthology under my other writing identity, A.T. Brennan!
